Service
Lunch Buddy sells prepaid lunch tokens for school lunch packs. One token equals one standard lunch pack unless the admin has updated the active menu and price before purchase.
Lunch Pack
The current lunch pack is cheese and ham sandwich, fruit, juice, crisps. Ingredient and allergy notices are shown in the parent portal and may change when the menu changes.
Orders and Tokens
Tokens are added to the selected child after payment is confirmed. Tokens roll over until used or refunded according to the Refund Policy.
Skip Cutoff
If a child will not need lunch, the parent must skip the lunch before 20:00 on the previous day. After cutoff, the lunch may already be planned or prepared.
Parent Responsibility
Parents must keep child details, class details, and contact details accurate. Lunch Buddy may contact the parent about low tokens, payment issues, skipped lunches, and operational notices.
Payments
Online payments are processed by Paystack. Lunch Buddy does not store card numbers or card security codes.

Information We Collect
We collect parent name, cellphone number, email address, child name, class, token balance, lunch skips, lunch delivery records, payment references, and support messages.
Why We Use It
We use this information to manage prepaid lunch tokens, prepare school lunch lists, confirm payments, send operational notices, and support parents.
Children's Information
Child information is collected from the parent or guardian for the purpose of providing school lunch services. We keep child information limited to what is needed for lunch planning and delivery.
Payments
Paystack processes payment details. Lunch Buddy stores order references, payment status, token amounts, and related ledger entries, but not card details.
Security
We use password-protected accounts, server-side payment verification, access-controlled admin and delivery portals, and HTTPS hosting for the public service.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Lunch Cancellations
Parents can skip a lunch before 20:00 on the previous day. A skipped lunch does not use a token.
After Cutoff
After the cutoff, the lunch may already be planned or prepared. Same-day cancellations are not normally refundable unless Lunch Buddy made an operational error.
Unused Tokens
Unused tokens roll over. A parent may request a refund for unused tokens by contacting support@lunch-buddy.co.za. Refunds are processed to the original payment method where possible after the order and unused balance are verified.
Failed or Duplicate Payments
Failed, duplicate, or incorrect payments will be corrected after payment verification. Tokens are only issued for successful confirmed payments.
